CMSP Motorcyclist Training Course - MTC
CLASSROOM AND RIDING INSTRUCTION
The California Motorcyclist Training Course consists of a total of 15 hours of classroom and motorcycle riding sessions.  For each course there will a total of two classroom sessions and two motorcycle riding sessions.  Classroom and Riding Instruction is provided by California State Trained Instructors.

EQUIPMENT FURNISHED
Training motorcycles are provided.  Motorcycle helmets are also available to students.  Scooters are also available upon prior request.

COST
Cost:  Under 21:  $350  21 and over:  $395

REQUIREMENTS
Must be 15 1/2 years old and have either a Drivers License, a permit or a Government issued photo ID

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE COURSE
DMV Certificates are mailed out within 10 days after the course is completed.
CMSP 1 Day Premier Course (with Licensing Option) - Intermediate Riding Clinic (IRC) and Advanced Riding Clinic (ARC)

The CMSP 1 Day Premier Course - Intermediate Rider Course (IRC) and Advanced Riding Clinic (ARC) are the perfect next step for riders who are looking to improve their skills on their own bike as well as riders that have recently gotten back into riding after years off. These courses include both classroom and on-cycle instruction.  You will learn post beginner level skills required to safely operate a full-sized motorcycle and understand the basic psychology of riding to help make better choices on the road. Topics covered include having a proper mental state, understanding two-wheeled vehicle dynamics, cornering strategies for multiple types of turns, emergency braking and evasive maneuvers.  Click here to visit the 1DPC-IRC Page.

The mission of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program (CMSP) is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities through comprehensive educational and behavior-modification modalities.

We foster student learning through state-of-the-art, evidence-based curricula, which are rider-focused and value the student/educator relationship. We are committed to creating and maintaining an orderly, compassionate and encouraging atmosphere. All aspects of the training are optimized to accommodate individual learning styles and to promote a culture of safe riding.
